Parts Pile Grows

This is just a fun post just to show the growing pile of parts.

Engine Bay Rust

Now the interior is on hold due to waiting for floor pans. I have moved onto the engine bay. first of all I removed the hood. This is simple just four bolts at 1/2 ". Dont try this on your own because the bonnet the slip off and end up on the floor.

When I got the hood off the bolts had caused rust to form on the brackets. so I wire brushed the brackets and put some rust paint on them. Luckily the brackets have just surface rust.

Next I went back to the bonnet. I took the heat sheild off the bottom of it trying my best to keep it in some kind of good condition. Then had a look at the surface rust on the underside of the bonnet. So I got my wire brush out and spent about an hour sorting it all out. Then put the paint over it. I also found that this was not the original bonnet because its in blue.
While the bonnet is drying off i went inside the engine bay and sanded out all the spots of surface rust. I found spots of rust on the wheel arches and on the bulk head. So I sorted all that out. But overall the condition of the rust of this car is not so bad considering that these Vivas rust crazy.
